Overview

Gastonia is one of the colors in the Colonial 9″ collection, made as a European oak engineered hardwood. Each plank measures 9″ wide and 5/8″ thick, with a 6mm top layer, in 7′ random lengths. Our team can also plan the subfloor prep and installation details for your rooms. Grade: rustic; finish: UV-cured urethane; core: two-layer solid core (per Colonial Collection). Colonial Collection does not publish a written description for Gastonia, so we recommend seeing it in person in our showroom or at home before you decide. Because it is real wood, every plank is different.

Construction

Engineered construction pairs a real hardwood wear layer with a cross-layered core. It moves less than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes. The 6mm top layer leaves material for future sanding and refinishing.

Installation

Care

• Sweep or vacuum (hard-floor setting) regularly to remove grit.
• Clean with a barely damp mop and a cleaner made for finished wood floors. Never wet-mop or steam.
• Use felt pads under furniture and mats at entries.
• Keep indoor humidity steady to limit seasonal gaps.
