About this floor
Colonial Collection Davenport
Davenport: Colonial oak for bedrooms and upstairs floors
Davenport is in the Colonial Collection's 7-1/2″ line, a rustic European oak engineered floor. Its mid-width plank and matching trims make it a good choice for second floors, bedrooms and stair landings.
Look and design
Davenport is graded rustic, and its color comes from a smoked/stained treatment. Expect visible knots and some movement in tone. Lengths are random up to 6-1/3′. There is no written color description from Colonial, so compare it with Andover, which shares the same width and build, to see which tone you prefer.
Construction and specs
Under a UV-cured urethane, Davenport has a 6mm oak wear layer on a 5/8″ plank that Colonial describes as a two-layer solid core. A carton covers 19.43 sq ft. Matching stair nosing, T-molding, threshold, reducer and quarter round are available.
Where it works best
Bedrooms, upstairs hallways, home offices, living and dining rooms.
Installed by our own crews
Our crews confirm the install method for your subfloor (none is listed), acclimate the boards and fit the matching nosing at stair edges. More on hardwood floor installation, the Colonial Collection, and Colonial Andover.
