Living room with light wide-plank European white oak flooring running through to the dining area

Recent Project: European White Oak Through the Whole Home

In September 2026 we installed European white oak engineered hardwood in a home. The light, wide planks run through the living room, the kitchen and the primary bedroom, and the same floor continues into the second unit, so every space shares one calm, consistent look.

Our scope on this project was the flooring only.

  • Floor: European white oak, engineered

Choosing Hardwood for Your Home

Why European white oak

European white oak has a calm, tight grain and takes light, natural finishes well, so it suits both traditional and modern rooms. We carry many European white oak floors in 2mm, 4mm and 6mm wear layers and can get others quickly through local suppliers. A thicker wear layer leaves more real wood on top for future sanding. It also comes in patterns such as herringbone. See colors and plank widths on our European white oak page.

Engineered or solid hardwood?

Both are real wood. Solid hardwood is one piece of wood through the whole plank. Engineered hardwood bonds a real oak wear layer to a layered core, so it moves less when humidity changes. The floor in our recent project above is engineered. Compare both types in our hardwood guide.

Concrete slab or raised subfloor?

Many condos and newer homes sit on a concrete slab, where engineered hardwood is the usual choice, glued down or floated. Over a raised wood subfloor, solid or engineered can both work. We check your subfloor during the in-home estimate and explain the installation method before you decide.

Condo and HOA rules

Many condo buildings set rules for hard flooring, often including a minimum sound rating for the underlayment. Ask your building management for the requirements and share them with us before you choose a floor.

Stairs and transitions

If your home has stairs, we can match the treads to the new floor so the hardwood carries from room to room.

Material only or fully installed

Some clients have their own installer and only need the flooring. Others want one team for everything. We do both, for residential and commercial projects. Learn more about our hardwood floor installation.

Waterproof Vinyl and Laminate

Hardwood is our focus, but not every room needs it. For laundry rooms, bathrooms, rentals and busy family spaces we also supply and install waterproof vinyl plank and laminate flooring.

Hardwood Flooring FAQ

Do you have a showroom in Beverly Hills?

No. Our only showroom is in Woodland Hills at 21030 Victory Blvd, about 20 miles by car. We come to you for the estimate. We bring flooring samples to your home.

Have you installed hardwood?

Yes. In September 2026 we installed European white oak engineered hardwood in a local home, through the living room, kitchen, primary bedroom and a second unit.

Is engineered hardwood a good choice for a condo or a concrete slab?

Usually, yes. On a concrete slab, engineered hardwood is the usual choice, glued down or floated. Many condo buildings also require a minimum sound rating for the underlayment, so check your building's rules first. We check the subfloor during the in-home estimate.

Which European white oak floors do you carry?

We carry many European white oak floors in 2mm, 4mm and 6mm wear layers, and we can get others quickly through local suppliers. You can see them at our Woodland Hills showroom. We bring flooring samples to your home.

Can I buy hardwood flooring without installation?

Yes. You can buy material only or have us install it. Delivery available, charged separately based on job site location and project size.

Hardwood is what we’re known for. In Beverly Hills, that often means wide-plank European white oak, custom stain colors, and patterned floors like herringbone and chevron. We help you choose the right species, pattern, and finish, then install it with care.

Herringbone, Chevron & Wide-Plank Floors

Patterned hardwood takes more precise layout and cutting than straight planks, and the details show in every room. We plan the pattern around your sightlines, borders, and transitions before installation begins. Many older Beverly Hills homes also have original oak floors that can be restored, and we’ll tell you honestly whether refinishing or replacement is the better choice.

Hardwood Floor Refinishing in Beverly Hills

Original hardwood in older Beverly Hills homes is often worth restoring. Refinishing removes years of wear and can change the color entirely, from natural and white-washed tones to rich, dark stains. Learn more about hardwood refinishing.

  • Sanding out scratches, wear paths, and old finish
  • Stain color changes: update dated orange or red floors to today’s lighter, natural oak tones
  • Fresh protective finish coats in the sheen you prefer
  • Refinishing of hardwood stairs to match
