About Bergamo Floors

Bergamo Floors makes engineered hardwood in Italy. Every floor in the current range uses the same build: a 4mm hardwood top layer over a cross-bonded Baltic birch plywood core, 5/8″ (15mm) thick overall, with a matte-brushed, UV-cured water-based polyurethane finish. Most colors are European white oak. There is also one walnut. What changes from floor to floor is the color, the width, the grade and the pattern. Bergamo names its lines after those differences, which makes the range easy to shop once you know the code:

Light Character grade shows natural knots and grain movement. Prime grade is selected for a cleaner surface with very few knots.

Herringbone and Chevron

Bergamo’s pattern floors use the same Italian white oak build as its planks. Turin Herringbone and Tramonto Herringbone come in 4″ × 29.5″ boards. Turin Chevron comes in 6″ × 40″, and Turin Chevron Corta is a shorter 6″ × 19.7″ board. Pattern floors take more layout time, so we plan the starting point, borders and transitions during your estimate.
