About this floor
Bergamo Oak Malvesia Bene
Overview
From Bergamo Floors’ Bene line, Oak Malvesia Bene is a European white oak engineered hardwood. Bergamo Floors designs and makes its engineered hardwood in-house in Italy, combining hand techniques with modern machinery and up to 11 quality checks per production run. Per our product page, Oak Malvesia Bene is 9.5″ wide, 5/8″ (15mm) thick, 4mm hardwood top layer; Random lengths up to 92.5″ (2350mm). It is listed with grade light character, finish Matte-brushed, UV-cured water-based polyurethane, edge micro-beveled long sides, square ends, core cross-ply Baltic birch plywood. Warranty (Bergamo): 50-year residential finish · 10-year commercial · lifetime structural. Made in Italy. See Oak Malvesia Bene at our Woodland Hills showroom at 21030 Victory Blvd, or ask us for pricing and availability.
Color and Appearance
A wide-plank European white oak in Bergamo’s Bene line. Bergamo does not publish a written color description for Malvesia Bene, so we recommend seeing it in person board in our showroom or at home before deciding. Light Character grade shows natural knots and grain movement, which suits the long, wide 9.5″ boards.
Construction
Engineered construction pairs a real oak wear layer with a cross-layered plywood core. The core is more stable than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes, and the 4mm top layer leaves material for future sanding and refinishing.
Available Options
Malvesia Bene is one of Bergamo’s 9.5″ Bene colors. Other Bene colors include Turin, Sorrento, Pisa, Mondovi, Tramonto, Venosa, Lasa, Treviso, Capri and Alfano.

Care & installation
Install, care & delivery
Installation
Our crews check your subfloor for moisture and flatness, allow the boards to acclimate, and choose a glue-down, nail-down or floating method that suits your subfloor. Bergamo has not published approved installation methods for each product, so we confirm them with the distributor before your install. Learn more about our hardwood flooring installation.
Care
- Sweep or vacuum (hard-floor setting) regularly to remove grit.
- Clean with a barely damp mop and a cleaner made for polyurethane-finished wood. Never wet-mop or steam.
- Use felt pads under furniture and mats at entries.
- Keep indoor humidity steady. Very dry air can cause small seasonal gaps.
Delivery & warranty
Bergamo flooring is typically ordered through the distributor. Call to confirm current availability and lead time. Delivery available, charged separately based on job site location and project size.
Warranty.
Bergamo warrants the surface finish for 50 years in residential use and 10 years in commercial use, plus a lifetime structural warranty. Coverage is for the original purchaser, requires installation by a licensed flooring contractor, excludes stairs from the wear-through coverage, and applies trade allowances (5% for milling and grading, 10% for finish wear). Moisture, humidity and installation-related damage are not covered. Read the full terms on Bergamo's warranty page.
