North Hollywood mixes the busy NoHo Arts District with quiet residential streets of 1920s–50s bungalows and post-war homes, plus a growing number of new apartment and condo buildings near the Metro station and Lankershim Boulevard. Many properties here are owner-occupied homes and small rentals side by side, often on the same block.
The older bungalows often still have original oak strip floors that can be refinished, though decades of patching sometimes make a partial replacement the better option. New condos usually sit on concrete with HOA sound rules, which narrows the choice to engineered hardwood, vinyl plank or laminate with an approved underlayment. Duplexes and small multi-unit properties often call for a durable, easy-care floor that can be installed quickly between tenants.

What flooring is best between tenants?
Waterproof vinyl plank and laminate are durable and quick to install. Ask about options at our showroom.
Do you work in new North Hollywood condos?
Yes. Share your HOA’s flooring requirements so we can choose a compliant product and underlayment.
On a concrete slab we install engineered hardwood, usually glued down after a moisture test. Over a raised wood subfloor, boards can be nailed down. Our own crew removes the old floor, preps, installs and finishes the trim. Buying material only? Delivery available, charged separately based on job site location and project size.
