Straight talk
What Is WPC Flooring?
WPC stands for wood plastic composite. These vinyl planks have a foamed core made from a blend of plastic and wood or wood-like fillers, topped with a printed design layer and a clear wear layer. Compared with SPC, a WPC core is usually thicker and a little softer, so it feels warmer and sounds quieter when you walk on it. That makes WPC a good fit for bedrooms, living rooms and upstairs rooms where comfort and sound matter. Many WPC floors are made with a waterproof core; check the manufacturer's rating listed on each product. WPC usually installs as a floating floor, and many lines come with an attached underlayment. See WPC in our Woodland Hills showroom, call ahead to check for a matching sample, or let us bring samples to your free in-home estimate. Our own crews install it, or you can buy the material only.

Good questions
WPC Flooring FAQs
What's the difference between WPC and SPC?
WPC has a thicker, softer core that feels more cushioned and quieter. SPC has a thinner, denser core that resists dents from heavy furniture better.
Is WPC good for upstairs rooms?
Yes. Its softer core and attached underlayment on many lines help cut footstep noise, which is why many people choose it for second floors.
Can WPC go in a kitchen?
Many WPC floors are rated for kitchens and laundry rooms. Check the manufacturer's rating on the product, and we'll confirm it during your estimate.
