What Is SPC Flooring?
SPC stands for stone plastic composite. Each plank has a rigid core made mostly of limestone powder and PVC, a printed wood-look or stone-look layer, and a clear wear layer on top. The dense core holds its shape well, resists dents from furniture, and is made to stand up to everyday spills, so many homeowners pick SPC for kitchens, laundry rooms, hallways and homes with pets and kids. Most SPC floors are made with a waterproof core; check the manufacturer's rating listed on each product. SPC usually installs as a floating floor over most flat subfloors, including concrete slabs, and many lines come with matching stair nosing so the floor can continue up your stairs. Visit our Woodland Hills showroom, call ahead to see a matching sample if we have it, or let us bring samples to your free in-home estimate. Our own crews handle the installation.

Good questions
SPC Flooring FAQs
Is SPC the same as luxury vinyl plank?
SPC is a type of vinyl plank with a rigid stone-plastic core. It's thinner and more rigid than WPC, and firmer underfoot than flexible vinyl.
Can SPC go over concrete?
Yes, in most homes. SPC is usually floated over a flat, dry subfloor, including concrete slabs. We check the subfloor during your free in-home estimate.
Can SPC be installed on stairs?
Many SPC lines offer matching stair nosing. We confirm the nosing for the floor you pick before we install.
Do you install the SPC you sell?
Yes. Our own crews install it, and you can also buy the material only.
