Bergamo Oak Turin Chevron
Overview
Bergamo Oak Turin Chevron is a European white oak engineered hardwood from Bergamo Floors’ Patterns collection. Bergamo produces its floors in Italy, mixing traditional handcraft with modern machinery, and lists Eurofins, CATAS, CE and TSCA Title VI compliance. Each plank measures 6″ wide and 5/8″ (15mm) thick, with a 4mm hardwood top layer, in lengths of 40″ (Bergamo lists 1016mm on the product page and 1000mm on the spec sheet). Grade: prime; finish: matte-brushed, UV-cured water-based polyurethane; edge: micro-beveled; core: multi-ply cross-ply baltic birch plywood. Warranty (Bergamo): 50-year residential finish · 10-year commercial · lifetime structural. Made in Italy. Color and Appearance
The same warm Turin oak color in a chevron layout, where angled board ends meet in a continuous V for a clean, directional look. Prime grade means very few knots, which suits the sharp lines of a chevron floor.
Construction
Engineered construction pairs a real oak wear layer with a cross-layered plywood core. The core is more stable than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes, and the 4mm top layer leaves material for future sanding and refinishing.

Install, care & delivery
Installation
Our crews check your subfloor for moisture and flatness, allow the boards to acclimate, and choose a glue-down, nail-down or floating method that suits your subfloor. Bergamo has not published approved installation methods for each product, so we confirm them with the distributor before your install. Pattern floors take extra layout time, and we plan the starting point and borders during your estimate. Learn more about our hardwood flooring installation.
Care
- Sweep or vacuum (hard-floor setting) regularly to remove grit.
- Clean with a barely damp mop and a cleaner made for polyurethane-finished wood. Never wet-mop or steam.
- Use felt pads under furniture and mats at entries.
- Keep indoor humidity steady. Very dry air can cause small seasonal gaps.
Delivery & warranty
Bergamo flooring is typically ordered through the distributor. Call to confirm current availability and lead time. Delivery available, charged separately based on job site location and project size.
Warranty.
Bergamo warrants the surface finish for 50 years in residential use and 10 years in commercial use, plus a lifetime structural warranty. Coverage is for the original purchaser, requires installation by a licensed flooring contractor, excludes stairs from the wear-through coverage, and applies trade allowances (5% for milling and grading, 10% for finish wear). What is the difference between herringbone and chevron?
Herringbone boards are cut square and overlap in a zigzag. Chevron boards are cut at an angle so the ends meet in a clean point, forming a continuous V.
