Description

Overview

Winter is one of the colors in Somerset’s Euro Wide Plank collection, made as a European white oak engineered hardwood (solidplus xp engineered). Somerset mills, dries and finishes its own Appalachian hardwood in the USA, so it controls the process from lumber grading to finishing. Surface: textured; finish: ultimate UV-cured aluminum oxide/urethane. Size: 8-1/4″ wide, 9/16″ thick. Installation: per somerset’s engineered installation guide; we confirm the method at your estimate. See Winter at our Woodland Hills showroom at 21030 Victory Blvd, or ask us for pricing and availability.

Color and Appearance

Somerset does not publish a written description for Winter, so we recommend seeing it in person in our showroom or at home before you decide. Because it is real wood, every plank is different.

Construction

SolidPLUS XP engineered flooring has a 3.5mm real-wood top layer over a cross-layered core. It moves less than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes, and the top layer leaves material for future sanding and refinishing.

Installation

Our crews check your subfloor for moisture and flatness, acclimate the flooring, and install it to Somerset’s published instructions. Learn more about our hardwood flooring installation.

Delivery and Pickup

Somerset flooring is ordered through the distributor. Call to confirm current availability and lead time, and ask about delivery to your home or job site, or pickup from our store.

See It in Person

Visit our showroom at 21030 Victory Blvd, Woodland Hills (Mon–Wed & Fri 10–6, Thu 10–4, Sat 10–5, Sun closed), or request a free in-home estimate and we’ll bring samples to you.

Care

Sweep or vacuum (hard-floor setting) regularly to remove grit.
Clean with a barely damp mop and a cleaner made for finished wood floors. Never wet-mop or steam.
Use felt pads under furniture and mats at entries.
Keep indoor humidity steady to limit seasonal gaps.

Warranty Summary

Somerset lists a 50-year residential finish warranty, a 5-year commercial finish warranty and a lifetime structural warranty. Coverage depends on proper installation, care and use. Read the full terms on Somerset’s warranty page.
