Overview
From Somerset’s Euro Wide Plank line, Bark is a European white oak engineered hardwood (solidplus xp engineered). Somerset mills, dries and finishes its own Appalachian hardwood in the USA, so it controls the process from lumber grading to finishing. Details: surface: textured; finish: Ultimate UV-cured aluminum oxide/urethane. Each plank measures 8-1/4″ wide and 9/16″ thick. Install options: per somerset’s engineered installation guide; we confirm the method at your estimate. Visit our Woodland Hills showroom to see Bark in person, or request pricing and a free in-home estimate.

Color and Appearance
Somerset does not publish a written description for Bark, so we recommend seeing it in person in our showroom or at home before you decide. Because it is real wood, every plank is different.
Construction
SolidPLUS XP engineered flooring has a 3.5mm real-wood top layer over a cross-layered core. It moves less than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes, and the top layer leaves material for future sanding and refinishing.
Installation
Our crews check your subfloor for moisture and flatness, acclimate the flooring, and install it to Somerset’s published instructions. Learn more about our hardwood flooring installation.
Delivery and Pickup
Somerset flooring is ordered through the distributor. Call to confirm current availability and lead time, and ask about delivery to your home or job site, or pickup from our store.

Care
- Sweep or vacuum (hard-floor setting) regularly to remove grit.
- Clean with a barely damp mop and a cleaner made for finished wood floors. Never wet-mop or steam.
- Use felt pads under furniture and mats at entries.
- Keep indoor humidity steady to limit seasonal gaps.
Warranty Summary
Somerset lists a 50-year residential finish warranty, a 5-year commercial finish warranty and a lifetime structural warranty. Coverage depends on proper installation, care and use. Read the full terms on Somerset’s warranty page.
