Overview

SLCC Solids Cinder is an acacia solid hardwood floor from SLCC Flooring’s Solids collection. It is 3/4″ thick solid wood, in 3.5″, 4.75″(mixed) wide planks up to 12″ – 48″ long.

Color and Appearance

SLCC does not publish a written description for Cinder, so we recommend seeing a sample in our showroom or at home before you decide. Because it is real wood, every plank is different.

Construction

Solid hardwood is milled from a single piece of wood, so it can be sanded and refinished many times. It is nailed or stapled over a wood subfloor and is not recommended directly over concrete.

Installation

Our crews check your subfloor for moisture and flatness, acclimate the flooring, and install it to SLCC’s published instructions. Learn more about our hardwood flooring installation.

Care

• Sweep or vacuum (hard-floor setting) regularly to remove grit.
• Clean with a barely damp mop and a cleaner made for finished wood floors. Never wet-mop or steam.
• Use felt pads under furniture and mats at entries.
• Keep indoor humidity steady to limit seasonal gaps.
