About this floor
Colonial Collection Providence
Providence: rustic Colonial oak in a 9″ plank
Providence is in the Colonial Collection's 9″ line, a rustic-grade European oak engineered floor. It brings natural knots and character to a wide plank, the kind of floor that looks at home in a craftsman or ranch-style house.
Look and design
Colonial lists Providence as rustic grade with a smoked/stained color treatment. Smoking darkens oak from within, and the rustic grade keeps knots and color shifts visible. Random lengths up to 7′ give long rows. No written color description exists, so view a board in person.
Construction and specs
Providence gives you 6mm of oak to walk on, set over the two-layer solid core Colonial uses, inside a 5/8″ plank sealed with UV-cured urethane. A carton covers 26 sq ft, and the line includes matching nosing and transition pieces for stairs and doorways.
Where it works best
Living room, dining room, bedrooms, halls and a home office all suit it.
Installed by our own crews
Because Colonial's spec skips the install method, we decide it after looking at your subfloor. With a rustic grade, they pull from several boxes at once so knots spread evenly across the room.
