Colonial Collection Keywest
Keywest: wide Colonial oak for big, open rooms
Keywest comes from the 9″ line of the Colonial Collection. Picture long rows of European oak running the length of a great room: that is where a 9″ face and boards up to 7′ make the most sense.
Look and design
Colonial treats Keywest with a stain rather than smoking it. A wider board shows more of each plank's grain, so fewer, broader lines cross the room. Colonial hasn't written up the color, and some details for Keywest are still being checked with the manufacturer; we go over them with you before anything is ordered.
Construction and specs
Under the UV-cured urethane sits a 6mm oak wear layer, part of a 5/8″ plank built on what Colonial calls a two-layer solid core. Expect 26 sq ft from each box. If your project includes stairs, the line offers matching nosing plus T-molding, threshold, reducer and quarter round.

Care
- Sweep or vacuum (hard-floor setting) regularly to remove grit.
- Clean with a barely damp mop and a cleaner made for finished wood floors. Never wet-mop or steam.
- Use felt pads under furniture and mats at entries.
- Keep indoor humidity steady to limit seasonal gaps.
