Appaloosa is one of the colors in California Classics’ Taverne collection, made as a French Oak engineered hardwood. Taverne is rustic French oak in 8-inch planks with a 4 mm sawn veneer and long 75-inch boards. Size: 8″ wide, 9/16″ thick, 4mm top layer. Length: 75″ (75% long boards). Surface: wire-brushed; finish: 8 coats of aluminum-oxide enhanced Valspar urethane, low gloss. Each box covers 25.07 sq ft. Manufacturer item number: TAEX8250. Construction

Engineered construction pairs a real hardwood wear layer with a cross-layered core. It moves less than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes. The 4mm top layer leaves material for future sanding and refinishing.
