California Classics Taverne Cheyenne

Cheyenne: country-style French oak from the Taverne collection

Cheyenne is a color in California Classics' Taverne collection: rustic French oak in 8″ planks with a 4mm sawn veneer. It suits homes going for a relaxed, farmhouse or country feel that still looks finished and refined.

Look and design

Taverne is wire-brushed and rustic by design, so expect knots and open grain. Boards run 75″ long, and 75% are long boards, which keeps the floor calm despite the character. A low-gloss finish keeps glare down on sunny floors. California Classics doesn't describe Cheyenne's color in writing, so see a board before you choose.

Construction and specs

Cheyenne is 9/16″ thick with a 4mm French oak top layer. California Classics finishes it with 8 coats of aluminum-oxide enhanced Valspar urethane. One box covers 25.07 sq ft; item number TABR8229. A wire-brushed rustic floor is forgiving: small dents blend into the texture.

Where it works best

Bedrooms, the living and dining rooms, hallways and a home office.

The spec doesn't list an install method, so we match one to your subfloor at the estimate. Our crews acclimate the oak and blend boards from several boxes for an even spread of character. See hardwood installation, more California Classics colors, or go to the Glamour Flooring home page.
