Specifications

Color and Appearance

Urban Floor does not publish a written description for Biarritz Herringbone, so we recommend seeing a sample in our showroom or at home before you decide. Because it is real wood, every plank is different.

Construction

Engineered construction pairs a real hardwood wear layer with a cross-layered core. It moves less than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes. The 6 mm top layer leaves material for future sanding and refinishing.

Installation

Our crews check your subfloor for moisture and flatness, acclimate the flooring, and install it to Urban Floor’s published instructions. Learn more about our hardwood flooring installation.

Care

• Sweep or vacuum (hard-floor setting) regularly to remove grit.
• Clean with a barely damp mop and a cleaner made for finished wood floors. Never wet-mop or steam.
• Use felt pads under furniture and mats at entries.
• Keep indoor humidity steady to limit seasonal gaps.

Warranty Summary

Urban Floor lists a 35-year finish warranty. Coverage depends on proper installation, care and use. Read the full terms on Urban Floor’s warranty page.

Engineered hardwood can usually be glued down or floated over a dry, flat slab after a moisture test. We check your subfloor during the estimate and follow Urban Floor’s installation guidelines.
