About this floor
RIVA Spain Elite Cotton
Cotton: RIVA Elite white oak made in Spain
Cotton is a color in RIVA Spain's Elite collection, an 8″ European white oak engineered floor made in Spain. It is for buyers who care about what is under the surface as much as the color: a marine-grade core, a matte Bona finish and long boards.
Look and design
RIVA offers Elite in Prime or Character grade, so the amount of knots and grain movement depends on which grade you choose; we confirm it on your order. The Bona UV matte lacquer keeps the surface low-sheen. Boards come in four lengths (6′, 6.5′, 7.2′ and 8′), which means fewer end joints across a long room.
Construction and specs
Each 5/8″ plank has a 4mm (nominal) white oak top layer over a 12mm marine-grade phenolic birch plywood core, with tongue-and-groove edges beveled on two sides. RIVA lists it as made to EN 13489, E0 / CARB Phase 2 compliant, with a Cfl-s1 fire rating. Box coverage runs from 15.75 sq ft for 6′ boards to 21.41 sq ft for 8′.

Installed by our own crews
Our crews confirm the install method for your subfloor, test for moisture and acclimate the boards before laying them. Read about our hardwood installation, see all RIVA Spain floors or the European white oak collection.
