Johnson Hardwood Coastal Signature Series 10 Sonoma is a European white oak engineered hardwood floor from Johnson Hardwood’s Coastal Signature Series 10, with a 4.0mm real-wood top layer and 5/8″ overall thickness. The planks are 10-1/4″ wide.

Color and Appearance

Johnson lists Sonoma as a light color tone with high color variation between planks, and a light wire brushed surface. Because it is real wood, every plank is different. Johnson does not publish a written color description, so we recommend seeing a sample in our showroom or at home before you decide.

Construction

Engineered construction pairs a real hardwood wear layer with a cross-layered core. It moves less than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes, and Johnson rates it for on-, above- and below-grade installs. The 4.0mm top layer can typically be lightly screened and recoated, and thicker wear layers allow sanding; ask us what is possible for this floor.

Installation
