Johnson Hardwood Canyon Ridge Jasper

Overview

Johnson Hardwood Canyon Ridge Jasper is a hickory engineered hardwood floor from Johnson Hardwood’s Canyon Ridge series, with a 1.2mm real-wood top layer and 1/2″ overall thickness. The planks are 7-1/2″ wide.

Specifications

Color and Appearance

Johnson lists Jasper as a dark color tone with high color variation between planks, and a light wire-brushed surface. Because it is real wood, every plank is different. Johnson does not publish a written color description, so we recommend seeing a sample in our showroom or at home before you decide.

Construction

Engineered construction pairs a real hardwood wear layer with a cross-layered core. It moves less than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes, and Johnson rates it for on-, above- and below-grade installs. A thinner wear layer is best screened and recoated rather than fully sanded.

Installation

Our crews check your subfloor for moisture and flatness and install to the manufacturer’s guidelines. Johnson lists these methods: Staple, Cleat, Glue, Float. We choose nail-down, glue-down or floating based on your subfloor and rooms. Learn more about our hardwood flooring installation.

• Use felt pads under furniture and mats at entries.
• Keep indoor humidity steady to limit seasonal gaps.

Johnson lists this floor with a 35 Year Limited Residential warranty. Warranty coverage depends on proper installation, care and use, and has exclusions. Read the full terms on Johnson Hardwood’s warranty page.
