About this floor
SLCC Milky Way Select Helios
Overview
SLCC Milky Way Select Helios is a walnut engineered hardwood from SLCC Flooring’s Milky Way Select collection. Milky Way Select sits within SLCC’s Milky Way family, real hardwood veneers on a stable layered core in a night-sky-inspired palette. Details: grade: ABC; finish: UV Lacquer; edge: micro-beveled; core: cross plywood. On our spec table, Helios is 8.6″ wide, 5/8″ thick, 3mm top layer; 84″ random lengths. Installation: floating, glue down, nail down. Coverage is 34.11 sq ft per box. Manufacturer item number: E-MW-OWID-HE.
Color and Appearance
SLCC does not publish a written description for Helios, so we recommend seeing it in person in our showroom or at home before you decide. Because it is real wood, every plank is different.
Construction
Engineered construction pairs a real hardwood wear layer with a cross-layered core. It moves less than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes. The 3mm top layer leaves material for future sanding and refinishing.
