Overview
SLCC Karuna Amare is a maple engineered hardwood from SLCC Flooring’s Karuna collection. Karuna is SLCC’s line for calm, everyday spaces, with gently brushed surfaces that show the natural character of the wood. Each plank measures 7.5″ wide and 2mm top layer, in lengths of 36″ – 72″. Grade: abcde; surface: wire brushed; edge: micro-beveled. Installation: floating, glue down, nail down. Each box covers 22.85 sq ft. Manufacturer item number: E-KC-AM. SLCC does not publish a written description for Amare, so we recommend seeing it in person in our showroom or at home before you decide. Because it is real wood, every plank is different.
Construction
Engineered construction pairs a real hardwood wear layer with a cross-layered core. It moves less than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes. The top layer can be screened and recoated to refresh the finish.

Our crews check your subfloor for moisture and flatness, acclimate the flooring, and install it to SLCC's published instructions. Learn more about our hardwood flooring installation.
Care
- Sweep or vacuum (hard-floor setting) regularly to remove grit.
- Clean with a barely damp mop and a cleaner made for finished wood floors. Never wet-mop or steam.
- Use felt pads under furniture and mats at entries.
- Keep indoor humidity steady to limit seasonal gaps.
