Tartonne Herringbone: Provence III oak laid in a zigzag

Tartonne Herringbone is the herringbone format of Reward Flooring's Provence III collection: short European oak slats, 4-3/4″ by 24″, made to be set in a zigzag. Reward added a herringbone option to every Provence III color, so you can pair it with the straight plank in the same tone.

Look and design

The oak is smoked and wire-brushed under an ultra-matte sheen, and Reward grades it rustic, so knots and grain stay part of the look. Herringbone turns those natural marks into movement across the room, which works well in entries, dining rooms and studies.

Construction and specs

Each 1/2″ slat has a 2mm European oak wear layer over a hardwood plywood core, finished in UV urethane with aluminum oxide. Item number REW12434P3TRHB. The wire-brushed, ultra-matte surface hides light scuffs better than a smooth finish.

Where it works best

Good rooms for it: the living and dining areas, bedrooms, hallways and a study. Because Reward lists glue-down and float, it can go over a concrete slab after a moisture test.
