About this floor
California Classics Mediterranean Positano
Overview
Positano is one of the colors in California Classics’ Mediterranean collection, made as a French Oak engineered hardwood. Mediterranean is hand-selected French oak in 8-inch by 75-inch planks, double-smoked to age the grain, lightly scraped and finished with hand-carved edges and ends. Plank size: 8″ wide, 9/16″ thick, 4mm top layer. Length: 75″ (75% long boards). Surface: wire-brushed, lightly distressed edges and ends; finish: 8 coats of aluminum-oxide enhanced Valspar urethane, low gloss. Manufacturer item number: MCPI715. See Positano at our Woodland Hills showroom, or ask us for pricing and availability.
Color and Appearance
California Classics does not publish a written description for Positano, so we recommend seeing it in person in our showroom or at home before you decide. Because it is real wood, every plank is different.
Construction
Engineered construction pairs a real hardwood wear layer with a cross-layered core. It moves less than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes. The 4mm top layer leaves material for future sanding and refinishing.
