About this floor
Urban Floor L'artiste by Timbertop Matisse
Matisse: a wide, long L'artiste oak by Urban Floor
Matisse is in Urban Floor's L'artiste by Timbertop collection, an artist-named series of wide European oak floors. With 9.5″ boards up to 96″ long, it is built for big rooms and long sight lines.
Look and design
Urban Floor describes Matisse as neutral at a glance, with rich, layered color and natural variation up close. The surface is smooth under a Bona Natural UV urethane with a matte sheen and micro-bevelled edges. Color variation is listed as moderate.
Construction and specs
At 13/16″ thick with a 6mm European oak wear layer on a cross-finger core, it is a hefty engineered build. Each box covers 25.32 sq ft; item ART-MATISSE Plus. Urban Floor gives it a high foot-traffic rating and a 50-year finish warranty.
Where it works best
Dining rooms, hallways, living areas and bedrooms. Urban Floor lists float and glue, so it can go over concrete after a moisture test.
Installed by our own crews
Urban Floor lists float, glue, or nail/staple. Boards this long need a flat subfloor, so our crews check it closely and prep low spots. Learn more about hardwood installation, see Urban Floor, or compare L'artiste Monet.
