Laurel: light, low-gloss oak from Johnson Hardwood
Laurel is in Johnson Hardwood's Oak Grove collection, a 1/2″ European oak engineered floor with a light color tone. It is a practical pick for condos and homes on slabs because Johnson approves it on-grade, above-grade and below-grade.
Look and design
Johnson describes Laurel as light in tone with high variation from plank to plank and a low gloss level. A light wire brush adds a subtle texture, and beveled edges outline each board. Johnson calls the look European/Modern. Lengths are random.
Construction and specs
Each 7-1/2″ plank is 1/2″ thick with a 1.2mm rustic-grade oak veneer and a UV-cured aluminum oxide finish. Johnson lists a 35-year limited residential warranty. Item AME-OG19002. With a thinner veneer, keep grit off the floor and use felt pads; the low-gloss finish hides fine marks well.
