Overview
From California Classics’ Mediterranean 9.5 line, Corinthian is a French Oak engineered hardwood. Mediterranean 9.5 is hand-selected French oak milled to 9.5-inch by 86.6-inch planks, aged with a signature double-smoking technique, lightly scraped and with hand-carved edges and ends. Dimensions: 9.5″ wide, 5/8″ thick, 4mm top layer. Length: 86.6″ (75% long boards). Surface: wire-brushed, lightly distressed edges and ends; finish: 8 coats of aluminum-oxide enhanced Valspar urethane, low gloss. Boxes cover 34.10 sq ft. Manufacturer item number: MCVT302. California Classics does not publish a written description for Corinthian, so we recommend seeing it in person in our showroom or at home before you decide. Because it is real wood, every plank is different.
Construction
Engineered construction pairs a real hardwood wear layer with a cross-layered core. It moves less than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes. The 4mm top layer leaves material for future sanding and refinishing.
