California Classics Mediterranean Calypso
Calypso: Mediterranean French oak with a quiet, low-gloss finish
Calypso is one of the California Classics Mediterranean colors. If glare from big windows is a concern, the line's low-gloss finish and brushed texture keep the floor looking soft in strong daylight.
Look and design
California Classics double-smokes this French oak, scrapes it lightly and finishes the edges and ends by hand, so planks have gently worn borders. The wire-brushed face catches light in the grain rather than reflecting it. No written color description is published for Calypso; ask to see it under daylight at the showroom.
Construction and specs
An 8″ plank, 9/16″ overall, Calypso has a 4mm French oak layer on an engineered core. Boards are 75″ long, and 75 percent are long boards. Valspar urethane with aluminum oxide is applied in eight low-gloss coats. Item MCYP487.

- Sweep or vacuum (hard-floor setting) regularly to remove grit.
- Clean with a barely damp mop and a cleaner made for finished wood floors. Never wet-mop or steam.
