About this floor
Somerset Wide Plank Hickory Toast
Overview
From Somerset’s Wide Plank line, Hickory Toast is a hickory engineered hardwood (solidplus engineered). Somerset makes its solid and SolidPlus floors in the USA from Appalachian lumber it grades, dries and mills itself. Size: 6″ wide, 1/2″ thick. It is listed with surface smooth, finish Ultimate UV-cured aluminum oxide/urethane. Installation: per somerset’s engineered installation guide; we confirm the method at your estimate.
Color and Appearance
Somerset does not publish a written description for Hickory Toast, so we recommend seeing it in person in our showroom or at home before you decide. Because it is real wood, every plank is different.
Construction
SolidPLUS engineered flooring has a 3mm real-wood top layer over a cross-layered core. It moves less than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes, and the top layer leaves material for future sanding and refinishing.
