RIVA Spain MAX Mercury
Overview
From RIVA Spain’s RIVA MAX line, Mercury is a European white oak engineered hardwood. With 10-inch planks, MAX is the widest RIVA Spain format, chosen when you want the grain of European white oak shown at scale. Plank specs: 10″ wide, 5/8″ thick, 4mm (nominal) top layer, lengths of 6′, 6.5′, 7.2′ and 8′. Grade: prime or character; finish: Bona® UV matte lacquer; core: marine-grade phenolic birch plywood, 12mm. Made in Spain. Color and Grade
Mercury is one of 10 colors in the RIVA MAX collection. RIVA does not publish a written description for each color, so we recommend seeing it in person before you choose. RIVA MAX comes in two grades. Prime is selected for a clean, even surface with very few small knots. Character shows natural knots, livelier grain and more color movement from board to board. We can show you both side by side.
Construction
The 4mm top layer is thick enough to sand and refinish in the future, and the cross-layered plywood core keeps the floor stable through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes.

RIVA MAX also comes in Pearl, Cotton, Crystal, Sand, Smoke, Earth, Amber, Krypton, Cigar. The same colors come in other widths across RIVA’s MAX (10″), Elite (8″) and Metro (6-3/4″) collections.

Installation
Our crews check your subfloor for moisture and flatness, acclimate the flooring, and install it to RIVA's published instructions. Learn more about our hardwood flooring installation.
Care
- Sweep or vacuum (hard-floor setting) regularly to remove grit.
- Clean with a barely damp mop and a cleaner made for lacquered wood floors. Never wet-mop or steam.
- Use felt pads under furniture and mats at entries.
- Keep indoor humidity steady to limit seasonal gaps.
