Curacao: smoked European oak from Reward's Islands collection

Curacao is a color in Reward Flooring's Islands collection, which Reward made wider and longer than its earlier Shores line. It is a 7-1/2″ European oak engineered floor suited to both homes and commercial spaces.

Look and design

Reward smokes the oak and wire-brushes the surface, then finishes it ultra-matte. The rustic grade keeps knots and grain in play. Boards range from 23″ to 82″, with 60% full-length boards, so long runs dominate. Reward offers no written color description for Curacao; check a board in your own light.

Construction and specs

The build is a half-inch plank: 2mm of smoked oak on top, hardwood plywood beneath, and a UV-cured finish. It is laid as a straight plank (item REW1275ISCC). Low sheen plus brushing makes dust and hairline marks hard to spot.

Where it works best

Living rooms, bedrooms and hallways; Reward pitches the Islands range at both homes and commercial spaces. Concrete is an option because glue-down and floating are both approved, once the slab tests dry.
