About this floor
Monarch Plank Hokkaido Nara Natural
Overview
From Monarch Plank’s Hokkaido line, Nara Natural is a nara (japanese oak) engineered hardwood. Monarch Plank sources Hokkaido from suppliers in the mountains of northern Japan and presents it simply, in wide planks with a clear ultra-matte finish. It is listed with grade rustic, surface smooth, finish UV Urethane, ultra-matte. Each plank measures 7-1/2″ wide and 5/8″ thick, with a 4 mm top layer, in lengths of 23″–75″. It can be installed by nail-down, glue-down, float. Manufacturer item number: MON5875HJONN. See Nara Natural at our Woodland Hills showroom at 21030 Victory Blvd, or ask us for pricing and availability.
Color and Appearance
Nara Natural has a smooth surface, with a ultra-matte finish. Monarch Plank does not publish a written description for this color, so we recommend seeing it in person in our showroom or at home before you decide. Because it is real wood, every plank is different.
Construction
Engineered construction pairs a real hardwood wear layer with a cross-layered core. It moves less than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes. The 4 mm top layer leaves material for future sanding and refinishing.
