Overview
Brix is one of the colors in D&M’s Silver Oak Select Grade collection, made as a European oak engineered hardwood. Per our product page, Brix is 7-1/2″ wide, 1/2″ thick, 2mm top layer; random lengths up to 75″. Installation: nail/staple with glue assist, glue down, float. It is listed with grade select, surface wire brushed, finish UV Cured Urethane. Each box covers 31.1 sq ft. Manufacturer item number: DMSO-S04. D&M does not publish a written description for Brix, so we recommend seeing it in person in our showroom or at home before you decide. Because it is real wood, every plank is different.
Construction
Engineered construction pairs a real hardwood wear layer with a cross-layered core. It moves less than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes. The top layer can be screened and recoated to refresh the finish.

Care
- Sweep or vacuum (hard-floor setting) regularly to remove grit.
- Clean with a barely damp mop and a cleaner made for finished wood floors. Never wet-mop or steam.
- Use felt pads under furniture and mats at entries.
- Keep indoor humidity steady to limit seasonal gaps.
