Alabaster: D&M Genese Comfort Line oak for slab homes
Alabaster is a color in D&M's Genese Comfort Line, a European oak engineered floor 8-5/8″ wide. D&M lists glue-down and float only, which makes it a natural fit for homes and condos built on concrete.
Look and design
D&M grades it as character, so knots and natural marks are part of the look, and wire-brushes the surface. Boards come in random lengths up to 86.5″. D&M hasn't put Alabaster's shade into words, so we keep a board handy to show you.
Construction and specs
Alabaster's 9/16″ plank carries 3mm of oak above the core, sealed in UV-cured urethane; cartons hold 31.3 sq ft (item DMGC-801). On paper it is a clean product: FloorScore certified, compliant with EPA TSCA Title VI, CARB Phase 2 and the Lacey Act, and eligible for LEED credits.

Care
- Sweep or vacuum (hard-floor setting) regularly to remove grit.
- Clean with a barely damp mop and a cleaner made for finished wood floors. Never wet-mop or steam.
- Use felt pads under furniture and mats at entries.
- Keep indoor humidity steady to limit seasonal gaps.
