Black River is one of the colors in Provenza’s African Plains collection, made as a Hevea engineered hardwood. African Plains has a deliberately aged look: Provenza cracks, hand-scrapes and hand-distresses the boards, which are made from sustainable hevea wood from responsibly managed forests. Dimensions: 5″ wide, 9/16″ thick. Length: 43.3″. Surface: cracks, hand scraped, hand distressed, hand stained; finish: polyurethane. It can be installed by glue down, staple, float. Construction
Engineered construction pairs a real hardwood wear layer with a cross-layered core. It moves less than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes. The top layer can be screened and recoated to refresh the finish.
