Overview
From Artisan Hardwood’s Legacy line, Albany is a maple engineered hardwood. Artisan gives Legacy a distressed, timeworn surface that brings out its layered color. Per our product page, Albany is 6-1/2″ wide, 9/16″ thick, 3 mm top layer; random lengths up to 6′. It is listed with finish 12 UV coatings (2 of Aluminum oxide; 8 of Polyurethane; 2 of scratch resistant). Coverage is 19.18 sq ft per box. Manufacturer item number: GHM6A.

Artisan does not publish a written description for Albany, so we recommend seeing it in person in our showroom or at home before you decide. Because it is real wood, every plank is different.
Construction
Engineered construction pairs a real hardwood wear layer with a cross-layered core. It moves less than solid wood through Southern California’s dry Santa Ana winds and seasonal humidity changes. The 3 mm top layer leaves material for future sanding and refinishing.

Care
- Sweep or vacuum (hard-floor setting) regularly to remove grit.
- Clean with a barely damp mop and a cleaner made for finished wood floors. Never wet-mop or steam.
- Use felt pads under furniture and mats at entries.
- Keep indoor humidity steady to limit seasonal gaps.
