European Oak Hardwood Floor & Staircase Installation in Los Angeles

Glamour Flooring recently completed a hardwood flooring and staircase project in a Los Angeles home. We installed Urban Floor Brindisi, a wide-plank European oak engineered hardwood, through the upstairs hallway and bedrooms, then finished the staircase with matching hardwood treads, stair noses and white risers.

Wide-Plank European Oak for a Los Angeles Home

Brindisi pairs a light base color with a smoked finish that adds depth, and its 9.5-inch-wide planks help rooms feel open and calm. In this home it runs through the hallway, the bedrooms and the primary suite, so the upper floor reads as one continuous surface.

Brindisi is part of Urban Floor’s Villa Caprisi collection. Key specifications from the manufacturer:

We also installed the staircase. Each step received a new hardwood tread in the same Brindisi oak, finished with a matching stair nose on the front edge, so the stairs match the floors they connect. At the client’s request, we installed white risers, which contrast with the oak treads and tie in with the white balusters and trim.

Stair noses give every step a finished, rounded front edge and a clean transition from tread to riser. The same detail continues on the step up into the primary bathroom.

Hallways and Bedrooms

Boards up to 87 inches long and staggered end joints give each room a relaxed, natural pattern without busy seams. Brindisi’s low color variation and matte finish keep the look consistent from the hallway into every bedroom, while the wire-brushed surface shows the oak’s grain up close.
